We are pleased to announce our partnership with Food Network’s Rescue Chef, Danny Boome. The Shooting Kitchen is a host venue for the “Danny Boome Cooking School” in NYC.

“The Shooting Kitchen is the perfect platform for the school,” enthused Danny. “The facility has everything our business was looking for to hold cooking lessons and demonstrations. The added bonus is that the space is a working studio, which will allow my other business, Crash Bang Boome Productions, to use it for our ever-growing food webisode business.”

Our friend and neighbor Rony Zibara, Director of Innovation at Fahrenheit212 has launched a delectable food and lifestyle website called Poetry of Food with the help of web development studio HAAS/créa Corp. and the Shooting Kitchen.

The web development team at HAAS/créa headed up by Alex Bonamarte have successfully integrated the refined aesthetic qualities of a magazine in a content management system (CMS), while incorporating the dynamic of both a blog and a social network.During development, the Shooting Kitchen’s studio space played host to late night production meetings, breakfast reviews, and coding jam sessions at all hours; over bowls of nuts, dried cherries and a steady stream of coffee.

The site features the work of over 15 acclaimed foodies that are writers, chefs, wine critics and food enthusiasts all around. Their unique columns, recipes photos and video are presented in a hybrid magazine / blog format. Vivid imagery of food, restaurants and destinations are presented alongside quirky prose that personifies the colorful and varied points of view of the contributors, including yours. — That’s right, when you join POF (it’s free) you will be able to contribute your stories, photos and recipes too.

About our neighborhood.

TriBeCa became known in the 70s and 80s for the sprawling lofts artists
converted to studios. TriBeCa is a haven-like
enclave that draws notables for its secluded feel and high culture; the
neighborhood is populated with refined restaurants, high-end,
specialized shops, and private residences. A stroll through TriBeCa
reveals upscale eateries like Nobu, MR CHOW, Chanterelle, and Bouley,
local staples like Bubby’s and Odeon, and sophisticated retail options
such as Issey Miyake and Stephen Alan. Also home to independent movie
theaters and filmmakers, this is where the Tribeca Film Festival
emerged.
